Throughout the summer and into the fall, the Adirondack Mountains offer a relaxing escape from the city. The region is full of lakes and beautiful scenery perfect for hiking, biking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, and boating. With so many activities one can stay busy for days, and I recently enjoyed a long weekend at the Lewey Lake Campground.
Aside from the always adventurous campsite bathrooms, the weekend was picturesque and perfect. The opportunity to spend summer’s longest days connecting with nature, friends, and fellow campers is one of the season’s pleasures, and I can’t wait to return.
